Nurses are organised in small teams with specialist skills and experience in their key subject, whether cancer or cardiac or paediatric or other conditions. They work together and define and manage their own schedules to deliver outstanding care.
We have a highly beneficial ratio of nursing staff to patients, never higher than 1:4 and down to 1:1 in paediatric and critical condition situations.
Central to our philosophy is that patients are individuals known by names and backgrounds by the nurses specifically caring for them. Each patient knows the nurses on his or her team. We are able to build warm and supportive relationships with patients and they are kept informed of the progress of their treatment at all times.
